Meet the People Behind the Camera
At Bright & Gray Creative, photography isn’t about stiff posing or forcing a look that doesn’t feel like you. It’s about creating space for people to be themselves and capturing them honestly, comfortably, and with intention. Whether we’re photographing families, professionals, teams, or moments that matter, our photographers lead with empathy, experience, and a deep respect for the people in front of the camera.
You’ll feel that difference the moment you step in front of the lens.
Meet Jessica, lead photographer:
Jessica Morales is the heart behind the lens at Bright & Gray Creative. Her love for photography began in high school as a yearbook editor and followed her through college at Samford, where she captured moments for friends and family on the side.
What started as a creative side gig grew alongside her family—and her husband Jason’s videography business. On their fourth anniversary, they adopted their daughter Brighten, and two years later welcomed their son Grady. Life shifted from building portfolios to building a home.
After running a successful digital marketing business for six years, Jessica returned to photography with fresh purpose. What began as a bonus for clients has become a thriving part of Bright & Gray. Today, she specializes in lifestyle sessions, brand photography, and events—always focused on storytelling that feels personal, warm, and real.

I love connecting with people. So often, clients open up to me about their insecurities or things they’re walking through—and I find it deeply humbling. It’s a gift to be able to speak truth and confidence over them, even if just for a few minutes behind the camera.

A step stool (I’m 5’1” on a good day), gum, a hairbrush, and approximately 30 SD cards—because you never know when you'll need backup for your backup.
-
It’s not that it’s uncommon, but I often get asked to “get rid of wrinkles” or “give a little Lightroom Botox.” Here’s the thing—I want to capture how you really look, but in the best light possible. That said, I do have a magical brush in Lightroom that smooths everything out just enough. You’ll still look like you—just well-rested and glowing.

“Moving Forward” by Colony House. It’s upbeat, hopeful, and feels like chasing purpose with your hair in the wind—basically my life in a song.

I never want parents to feel flustered—I want them to enjoy it. Even when things don’t go exactly as planned, I always remind them: we’re making memories, not chasing perfection. Maybe it’s a toddler running wild instead of sitting sweetly, or kids bear-hugging the dog just to keep him in place. Whatever season you’re in, we’re going to capture it—and one day, you’ll look back and miss these beautifully chaotic moments.
Meet Morgan, associate photographer:
Morgan Brown is an associate photographer with Bright & Gray Creative, where her heart for storytelling meets her lifelong love of photography.
Like Jessica, Morgan’s journey behind the lens began in high school. She remembers capturing anything from friends and nature to countless portraits of her little sister, who became her most patient model. That spark continued through college, where Morgan photographed sorority events, special moments for friends, and the beauty of everyday life.
Though she pursued a career in education, creativity was always at the center of her work. Photography remained a steady passion project until the opportunity came to step fully into the role with Bright & Gray as an associate photographer. Morgan lives in Crestwood with her husband, Dylan, and their baby girl, Isla. When she’s not with her family or behind the camera, you can often find her painting for her Etsy shop, MorganBrownPaints.
Today, she specializes in lifestyle sessions and family portraits, with a growing passion for brand photography. No matter the setting, Morgan’s goal is to create images that feel true, timeless, and full of life - moments clients can look back on and remember just as they were.

Making chaos look beautiful. Whether it’s a toddler meltdown, a wiggly dog, or a fleeting sunset, I have a knack for capturing genuine moments that feel effortless and true.
-
A sense of humor. Keeping things light and fun helps families relax, forget about the camera, and just be themselves.
-
One of my favorites was photographing all the animals at a nature center I was working at after college. This included striped skunks, red foxes, and gopher tortoises - definitely a little out of the ordinary, but so much fun!
-
“Fearless” by Taylor Swift - as a longtime Swiftie, this song is perfectly nostalgic and captures the excitement and joy I love to find in every moment I photograph.
-
A little dance and silly faces combo. It usually gets at least a giggle, breaks the tension, and reminds everyone that smiles don’t have to be perfect.
Okay… I like these people. What now?
From the first conversation to the final gallery, our goal is to make the experience feel easy, thoughtful, and personal. We take time to understand what you’re looking for, guide you when needed, and create an environment where you can relax and be yourself.
No rushing. No pressure. Just an intentional approach that results in images that feel natural and meaningful.
