Let’s work together!

A Note from Jessica: Why Our Internship Program Matters

At Bright & Gray Creative, we don’t take internships lightly. In fact, we build them with as much care and intentionality as we do client work.

Jason and I both graduated from Samford, and today he serves on the advisory board for the CAM/JMC department. We’ve spoken to students at every stage of their journey—from freshmen trying to figure out their major to seniors entering the job market with more questions than answers. We also teach a photo/video class to middle schoolers, because we believe in investing early and often in the next generation of creatives.

Here’s the truth: in creative industries, there’s often too much competition and not enough collaboration. But we believe there’s room for all of us. Your work doesn’t have to look like ours. Your voice doesn’t have to echo anyone else’s. That’s why we created an internship program that promotes learning, mentorship, and confidence-building without the pressure to “have it all figured out.”

If you’re a nursing student, you’re expected to do a preceptorship. If you’re in med school, you go through years of internship and residency. But in the creative world? You graduate and you’re just... thrown into it. We think that’s backwards. We’re not saving lives, but we are holding people’s dreams. And that’s wildly important work.

This internship is more than just a résumé-builder. It’s a safe place to grow, to experiment, to receive feedback, and to collaborate with a team that’s rooting for you. Whether you're designing a logo, editing a video, or planning a social post, you’re part of something that matters, and we’re here to help you become the creative professional you were designed to be.

We can’t wait to meet you.
