Fall Mini Sessions FAQ

1. What is the style of the fall mini sessions?

Our fall mini sessions are relaxed, fun, and focused on capturing your family just as you are. We’ll bring along a neutral blanket for seated photos, but you’re welcome to bring small props like flowers, mugs, or a favorite throw to make it personal. We’ll take a mix of posed and candid shots, aiming for natural smiles, laughter, and the little in-between moments that truly show this season of life.

2. How many people can participate in a fall mini session?

Fall minis are designed for families of up to 7 people. If your group includes 8 or more, there’s an additional fee of $25 per person. For larger groups, please reach out so we can send a custom invoice and booking instructions.

3. How long is each fall mini session?

Each session is 15 minutes—short, sweet, and perfect for families with kids (or pets!). Please arrive 10 minutes early so we’re ready to start right on time and make the most of your slot.

4. What is included in the session fee?

Your $225 session fee includes a 15-minute photo session and 10 high-resolution edited images of your choice from your gallery. Additional images may be purchased for $25 each, or you can upgrade to the full gallery for $250.

5. Do you offer prints?

We don’t provide in-house prints, but we’ll point you to labs we trust for color accuracy and long-lasting quality. We recommend Mpix for professional results and don’t suggest drugstore labs.

6. What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

If illness, an emergency, or weather keeps you from attending, let us know as soon as possible. If you contact us more than 24 hours before your session, you can move to our make-up day on November 15th at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens or apply your payment toward an Essentials Session ($375) at a date/location that works for you. Changes within 24 hours of your session cannot be accommodated.

8. How should I prepare for my fall mini session?

We want your session to be smooth, relaxed, and fun! A few of our favorite prep tips:

• Check out our Pinterest board of outfit inspiration for ideas on what to wear.

• Encourage kids to practice their smiles in the mirror—make a game out of it!

• Don’t stress if tantrums happen (we’re parents too—we get it). Mini marshmallows or other small treats can work wonders.

• Listen to your family’s favorite music on the way over to set the tone and get everyone in the mood.

• Bring along a small snack, toy, or pet treats if needed.
